PADOVA, Italy, March 18 /PRNewswire/ — CARRERA, international iconic fashion eyewear brand, presents its new worldwide marketing campaign: striking images, amid bright reflections and vibrant colours, which will surely attract the attention of the public all over the world.

Devised and created by MRM Worldwide Italia, the Digital Thinking Agency of McCann Worldgroup, the campaign's message is direct and effective, thanks to a clear and engaging headline: "SHINE ON", an encouragement to let our inner light show through, to live life to the max and with enthusiasm, wearing CARRERA frames and sunglasses.

Featuring original photography, the campaign portrays young men and women in an urban location lit up by warm light which encompasses everything it meets, underlining the dynamic and timeless spirit of the CARRERA brand. A spirit which took root in 1956, the year the brand was born and since then has successfully grown and developed in the eyewear and sport sectors, while still maintaining its "on the road" soul, decisive and constantly orientated at seeking a winning performance. This is why today CARRERA is the brand of choice for anyone who wants to be authentic and fashionable, without compromising.

The urban location provides the ideal setting for the campaign to unfold. The campaign’s super-trendy hipsters, brimming with the same youthful appeal of the frames and sunglasses they are wearing, are self-assured and exude a powerful vital energy that seems to be part of their very being.

The roll out for the "SHINE ON" campaign is expected in mid March 2010 and will take place through a broad and complete mixture of media both in Europe and the United States.

In particular, besides an important press and outdoor campaign in the most trendy international locations, from Miami to New York, from Barcelona to Paris to Milan, substantial implementation is also planned for digital media channels, with the launch of the new website carreraworld.com and an expressive social media platform which will allow the brand to bond with its public. To round off the project, there are plans for ongoing high-profile special events, public relations and music product placement activities.

The campaign depicts the world of "Fast-Laners", young men and women who live fast lives and always to the fullest, who prefer an individual style which goes beyond fleeting trends. The new images transmit the spirit of the CARRERA brand, the brand for those who are not afraid to live their life to the max, in the fast lane, constantly revving the passion accelerator.

Roberto Vedovotto, Chief Executive Officer of Safilo Group, stated: "We are enthusiastic about the success that Carrera is experiencing all over the world. It is a strategic brand for Safilo, in which we are investing a lot and which we believe still has great growth potential. Wearing a pair of Carrera glasses means expressing your personality, without compromises, while feeling part of a large community. Being oneself but not being alone. This is why our marketing campaign also has its foot on the accelerator in social network channels."

CARRERA presents original and stylish creations for the coming season with a collection that has a winning blend of unmistakable style and premium materials. The new eyewear designs are guaranteed to turn heads.

The CARRERA collection of optical frames and sunglasses is designed by Enzo Sopracolle, and produced and distributed by the Safilo Group.

African Beauty Is...

Oluchi Onweagba, the Nigerian model is an example of an African beauty discovered in M-Net's Face of Africa competition.

African beauty is about being proudly African, whether you’re dark or not. It’s about celebrating your unique and distinct features. There is no-one like us. You can tell an African a mile away.

Christabel Momodu is Black and Beautiful

I never heard of her until I came to Lagos last August and saw her photographs in the new Supple magazine and I was impressed. But when she came to say hello to the Publisher and Managing Editor, I did not pay attention to her, because I was very busy. Then when she came around again, I had time to talk to her.

Christabel is tall, dark and lovely and a beauty queen in Lagos. She understands English, French and Yoruba and some Igbo and Hausa.
She has been the only female I welcome to sit and chat with me in the office and seeing her on the cover of Allure magazine of The Vanguard newspaper in Nigeria was cool as she came yesterday looking like she just stepped out of the cover of Vogue, in long wavy black har and tight fitting black skirt. She interrupted my work, but I did not mind.
I gave her my popular love book before she left and I am looking forward to seeing her again.
Christabel is an epitome of beauty with dignity.

FOR ADULTS ONLY: When Molly Sims Wore A $30 Million Diamond Bikini

Kentucky born super model and actress Molly Sims left many men gasping for breath when she stepped out in this revealing $30 million Diamond bikini!

It was the must see bikini in the February 14, 2006 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.

The multi-million dollar diamond bikini, designed by Susan Rosen is made up of over 150 carats of D flawless diamonds.

Here is the YouTube video of Molly Sims modeling the $30 million Diamond Bikini.

African Women Are The Most Beautiful

The most beautiful thing. How do I put it? Its so spiritual. The most beautiful thing is a woman’s body. If you want to understand nature in its perfect stage, you have to look at the woman’s body, the contour, and the whole essence of a woman’s body is so amazing, especially African women.

And that is even important to me because for a long time African women are looked upon as if they are not beautiful, whereas they are the most beautiful that nature has ever created , that is one of the attraction and even more so fashion allows you, if you are an artist fashion is very quick it allows you to express quicker, because clothes comes and goes very quicker than magazines than buildings. Everything follows trend, fashion, interior, architecture. Of all of these fashion moves really fast and I love the pace

'Project Runway' Hits the Catwalk and Struts over to Lifetime in November '08

'Project Runway' Hits the Catwalk and Struts over to Lifetime in November '08

-- Groundbreaking Agreement for the Seven-Time Emmy(R)-Nominated and Peabody Award-Winning Hit Series --

NEW YORK, April 7, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- Lifetime Networks and The Weinstein Company have entered into a groundbreaking partnership that will move cable's top reality series, "Project Runway," to the top network for women, Lifetime Television, beginning November 2008 with the premiere of season six. In its most recent season, the hit show averaged a 3.8 W18-49 Live + 7 day rating* and the Live + 7 rating for the March 5th finale was a 6.1 W18-49 AA%.

Heidi Klum, "Project Runway's" international supermodel host, and Tim Gunn, Chief Creative Officer at Liz Claiborne, Inc. and mentor to the show's contestants, are both fashioning their new home at Lifetime.

The pact, encompassing a five-year deal for the seven-time Emmy(R)- nominated and Peabody Award-winning series "Project Runway," was announced today by Lifetime Networks' President and CEO Andrea Wong and The Weinstein Company's Co-Chairmen Harvey and Bob Weinstein.

Wong said, "'Project Runway' is one of the best television programs on the air today on broadcast or cable. I am a huge fan. All my friends are huge fans. Having watercooler movies, dramas, and reality shows like 'Project Runway' is what Lifetime Television is all about. We welcome The Weinstein Company, Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn to the Lifetime family for many walks down the runway to come."

"'Project Runway' is our programming crown jewel and great credit goes to Heidi, Tim and The Magical Elves for building more than a television show, but an actual brand that influences fashion interests and pop culture," stated Bob and Harvey Weinstein. "Whether it be our recent Peabody Award or the great ratings we have seen each year, 'Project Runway's' millions of loyal viewers have made the show a nationwide phenomenon. We would like to sincerely thank NBC Universal and Bravo for all their contribution and support. Today's announcement is a celebration of all of our success and having Lifetime's unique cable reach will ensure that the show will continue to grow and expand in the years to come. Lifetime is one of the strongest cable networks in the industry, with great leadership and a true commitment to original programming. We are very excited for the many new opportunities that will now be provided to 'Runway' and its fans and look forward to premiering the sixth season in November 2008."

"Fashion is about change, so we're looking forward to saying hello to Lifetime, our new fashionable home for our fashionable series," Heidi Klum stated. "We're excited to bring 'Project Runway' to the #1 network for women."

Tim Gunn added, "Lifetime and I will definitely 'make it work' together. I am very excited to be part of the Lifetime family."

Responding to a lawsuit filed today against it in the New York Supreme Court The Weinstein Company noted, after declining to compete for the right to have "Project Runway," NBC has sued to try to disrupt the series moving to Lifetime. "We believe that this lawsuit is without merit. While good for the market for lawyers, it is always unfortunate when parties try to win in court

what they have lost in the marketplace," said David Boies, counsel to The Weinstein Company.

"Project Runway" provides budding designers with an opportunity to launch their careers in fashion. The wildly successful competition reality series has proven to be one of television's most talked about and was the highest rated reality competition show in all of cable for 2007.

"Project Runway" is executive produced by Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz of Magical Elves ("Project Greenlight," "Last Comic Standing," "Top Chef"). Heidi Klum and her managers Desiree Gruber and Jane Cha of NYC-based Full Picture also executive produce the series. John Miller and Barbara Schneeweiss will oversee the production on behalf of The Weinstein Company.
