F2FA Launch in NYC is Best Event of the New Year!

The historic launching of the pan African F2FA magazine on Friday January 11, 2013, at the Empire State Building in New York City is one of the best things celebrating Africans in America and others in the diaspora as Sandra Appiah and Isaac Boateng unveiled the much awaited Face2Face Africa print edition.

The launching of the high-end contemporary pan-African F2FA magazine attracted many dignitaries and media buffs at the awesome Empire State Building in New York City on Friday January 11, 2013.

“F2FA is a dream fulfilled. A dream stemmed from a desire to change the story for someone who is going through what I experienced as a teenager,” the 23-year-old Editor-in-Chief, Sandra Appiah said. The mission is to redefine Africa in the modern world and shape black culture.

“If you believe that our mission is important and you want to continue seeing subsequent issues, you simply have to support and spread the word,” said 28-year-old Publisher Isaac Boateng calling on the global community to support F2FA Magazine.

African Beauty Sandra Appiah Leads Rebranding African Image in America

Sandra Appiah.

Who are the young Africans in America on a mission to re-brand Africa?

Ghanaian African beauty Sandra Appiah is one of the daring bold and brilliant leaders of a new generation of young Africans uniting to revive the Pan-African Renaissance in the United States of America. Even though she is only a 23-year-old young woman, Miss Appiah is already the Editor-In-Chief and Chief Operations Director of Face2Face Africa (F2FA), the high-end contemporary pan-African magazine.

F2FA is the brain child of Appiah and her business partner Isaac Boateng with a common cause to celebrate the awesome beauty, creativity and leadership of Africans in Africa and Africans in the diaspora; to correct the ambiguous and erroneous reports and stories on Africa and Africans in the mainstream American media and the rest of the world.

"We want to make sure Africa has a voice and is showcased in a positive and progressive light,” Appiah told Kunbi Tinuoye in a recent interview published on January 24, 2013 of the TheGrio, the African American breaking news and opinion online channel of NBC News in America.

Appiah recalled the challenges of confronting racism when her family immigrated to Italy when she was only 8 and had her first encounter with racists in Milan before her parents relocated to New York and she thought America would be a more civilized environment, but she was shocked.
“My experience was terrible, especially in high school.”

The maiden issue of F2FA highlighted the outstanding three young Ghanaian brothers and actors Kwame Boateng, Kwesi Boakye and Kofi Siriboe who are currently rocking Hollywood and also featured some of the most beautiful African women in the world like the award-winning Ghanaian actress Lydia Forson among others. Also featured is the amazing true love story of a young Nigerian-American couple who finally had a beautiful wedding after being together for almost a decade.
